Meet Heather
A native New Yorker and dynamic Manhattan broker, Heather Cooper delivers real estate success with disciplined pricing, sharp negotiation, and a calm, data-driven approach honed over 18 years in the business. As a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker and Certified Negotiation Expert at Compass, Heather serves buyers, sellers, landlords, and investors across Manhattan and Brooklyn — handling co-ops, condos, brownstones, and single- and multi-family homes from $500K to $20M+.
Heather treats each client as if they were a close friend and each transaction as if it were her own. She listens carefully, educates thoroughly, and translates complex market data into clear, confident decisions. For sellers, she's an expert in staging, marketing, and pricing — particularly in NYC's nuanced co-op market, where her command of board approval, sublet restrictions, maintenance dynamics, and pricing methodology gives her clients a meaningful edge. For buyers, she offers the patience, thoroughness, and neighborhood-level knowledge only a native New Yorker can deliver.
Before real estate, Heather sharpened her attention to detail and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments through work in law as a paralegal and in financial services on the trading floor. She's a masterful multi-tasker and problem-solver with an astute grasp of numbers and legal processes — qualities that make her especially well-suited to complex transactions including estate sales, trust-held property, and divorce-driven listings, where she works closely with real estate, trusts and estates, and matrimonial attorneys.
Heather is also a natural connector with a genuine love for people and a passion for bringing clients to the closing table. A Bronx native and graduate of Baruch College, where she received a bachelor's degree in political science, she resides on the Upper East Side and enjoys the area's wonderful restaurants, shopping, and proximity to Central Park.
Heather is proud to be part of Compass, where her service is backed by industry-leading marketing tools and technology — and she produces long-form video content on NYC real estate at @LivingInNYCwithHeather on YouTube.
